AI Project Lab Level 4

Course Overview

AI Project Lab Level 4 is where students build production-grade products using modern frameworks and AI capabilities. Using React, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, and AI APIs, students create applications that look, feel, and work like professional products. These are portfolio pieces that demonstrate real capability — ready for showcases, competitions, and future opportunities.

Course Structure

Each 10-week season follows a two-phase project cycle:

Phase 1: Mini Project (Weeks 1-4)

A framework-focused challenge using modern tools:

• Build with React and professional UI components
• Connect to a database and set up authentication
• Ship a polished mini product with modern stack

Phase 2: Main Project (Weeks 5-10)

A production-grade product with AI integration:

• Design and build a complete application with React
• Integrate AI capabilities and external services
• Polish for production quality
• Demo Day — Present your production-ready product

Each season, students produce:

• A deployed production-grade product with modern stack
• Code repository on GitHub
• Product evaluation and code review
• Progress report for parents

Laptop Requirements

• RAM: 16GB minimum
• Processor: Intel 12th Gen or newer, AMD Ryzen 5000 or newer, Apple M1 or newer
• Storage: 256GB SSD minimum (512GB recommended)
• Display: 1080p, 13” or larger
• OS: Windows 10/11, macOS 11+, or Linux

Chromebooks and tablets are not supported. Laptops older than 2020 are not recommended.

Prerequisites

• Age: Grades 5-9 (ages 10-15)
• Required: AI Project Lab Level 2
• Skills: Comfortable with JavaScript, APIs, and web development
